Hernandez is a senior consultant with OpEdge Solutions. He served more than 26 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired in July 2017. From 2013-2017, he was the Coast Guard’s Chief Information Security Officer. Daniel E. Turissini Chief Technology Officer, SPYRUS

Dan joined SPYRUS Solutions, Inc. as Chief Technology Officer responsible for the restart and broader adoption of the company’s products and services. A founder of Operational Research Consultants, Inc. in 1991, he led as Chief Executive to become a thought leader in identity verification and trusted authentication. He negotiated its merger with WidePoint where he piloted a seamless transition to a well-funded $120M market cap prior to his 2015 exit.

As an independent consultant Dan has provided expert consulting in identity and access control, cryptographic, biometric, and Public Key Infrastructures. Efforts resulted in patents granted in the USA and six other nations. A systems engineering/ integration innovator and leading expert in trusted managed services, he has achieved Trusted Authority certifications for Public and Private enterprises, pivotal in achieving the vision of implementing the next generation of Cyber Security for his clients.

 Dan Chairs the Marine Technology Society, Maritime Cyber Security and Infrastructure Committee and Vice Chairs the AFCEA, Homeland Security Committee; where he actively evangelizes for the protection of Critical Infrastructure and Citizen privacy. On AFCEA’s Educational Foundation Board he is dedicated to providing educational incentives, opportunities and assistance in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

He holds a BS degree from the US Merchant Marine Academy (Alumni’s Outstanding Professional Achievement Award) and a Masters from the George Washington University.
 

Bryan Ward Chief Enterprise Architect, SAIC

Bryan Ward is a technology leader with 40 years’ experience in technology innovation, thought leadership, enterprise and mission solutions, and business development. He uses vision, passion, and practical experience, to forge the strategies and solutions that accelerate growth and improve profits.  
He has an extensive Digital Transformation background and specializes in service-based enterprise transformation, secure Hybrid/Multi-Cloud solutions, enterprise infrastructure automation, and development of mission critical systems and applications.
As an industry thought leader, Bryan is a member of the AFCEA Technology Committee; serves on IEEE & NIST committees that establish Federal Cloud standards; co-chaired the industry organization group that helped launch FedRAMP, and served on a presidential commission to accelerate Federal Cloud adoption. 
In his current role as Chief Enterprise Architect with SAIC’s Strategic Growth & Innovation group, Bryan is focused on refining and expanding the rich portfolio of SAIC Managed-Service Solutions. 

Prior to SAIC, Bryan held senior leadership positions running Technology Practices that established market presence and drove green-field growth.  He co-owned a small technology consulting company and was an AI researcher and systems engineer for both federal and commercial companies.
 

Colonel (Retired) Laurie Moe Buckhout

President and CEO of Corvus Consulting

Colonel (Retired) Laurie Moe Buckhout is the President and CEO of Corvus Consulting, a strategic consulting and services group serving DoD Electronic Warfare, Cyber and Information Warfare communities. She served as an Army Officer from 1984 to 2010, retiring to assume a position in the Defense Industry.  Ms Buckhout is a native of Virginia and attended James Madison University.  Upon completion of JMU’s ROTC Scholarship program, she was commissioned a 2LT in the Army Signal Corps in 1984, and from there served in leadership and staff positions from the 3rd Infantry Division to the White House, and from Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander, ending her career as Chief of Electronic Warfare for the Army’s Headquarters Staff.
