TV Worldwide, a web-based global TV network, in cooperation with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the National Park Service and Base Technologies will simulcast live via satellite and the Internet, the Annual Vietnam Veterans Day Observance at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in
Washington D.C
from 1:00-2:30 PM ET on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2003. The ceremony marks the 10th Anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam Women's Memorial.
Some of the featured participants include:
- Admiral William J. Crowe, Jr., USN (Ret.), former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
- Country Music Artist Aaron Tippin, “Where The Stars and Stripes and The Eagle Fly”
- Gentry Davis, Deputy Regional Director, National Capital Region, National Park Service
- Elizabeth Norman, Director, PhD Program in Nursing, New York University; author, Women At War
- Singer and actress Kera O’Bryon, “Til the White Dove Flies Alone”
- Alan W. Bowers, National Commander, Disabled American Veterans
People around the world can participate online through the Internet simulcast, accessible through www.vvmf.org, www.usvets.tv and www.tvworldwide.com . In addition the simulcast will be available for broadcast media outlets via satellite. Commentary and interviews will be offered prior to the event.
